This is a refinery of the future --> Fuel Cell with Vertical Farming and BioFuel Processing

Imagine a farm of tall transparent tubes with plants growing inside suspended along cables from top to bottom. A fuel cell power system at the base produces some C02 in its exhaust which is expelled into the tube to raise the ppm C02 levels for optimal carbohydrate production by the plants. This adds efficiency to the fuel cell by converting the C02 in the exhaust back into a usable form of hydrocarbon energy. These tubes are in effect "Biofiltering Transparent Smoke Stacks". The plants inside could be in constant motion along their cable-route up and down the tubes to even exposure to the sun and mix the air inside the column.

Imagine a farm comprised of natural and man-made contours and elevations which are effective in maximizing sun-exposed surface area for solar systems and increasing wind velocities for wind turbine generators.

Imagine processing the plant yields in this vertical farm to fuels by utilizing the wind and solar energy on the farm as well as the heat from the fuel cells.

It may even be possible to someday loop the vertical farm tubes back down to the level of the fuel cell and rotate the lines which carry the plants along their course inside the tubes. This would allow the maturing plants to move along toward a processing module at the base of the fuel cell just prior to the gas delivery apparatus where natural gas is mixed with digester gases and fuels yielded from the plant materials processing.
